Collection: Esterbrook Estie Avalanche Limited Release

For those drawn to the untamed, to the quiet of falling snow, and the crackling energy of winter.

The Estie Avalanche is a premium fountain pen made from hand-blended DiamondCast resin, forged in North Carolina. Each pen is a swirl of white frost, silver, turquoise, and copper, capturing the shimmering stillness and unpredictable force of a mountain storm.

Offered in both Traditional and Oversize fountain pens, as well as Rollerball, the Avalanche features:

  • Gold-plated accents that glow against the cool, wintry palette.
  • A German Jowo #6 nib, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub 1.1, Extra Fine Flex, and Fine Flex.
  • Cartridge and converter fill (both included).
  • Esterbrook’s signature interchangeable nib system.
  • A unique fabric pouch inspired by chilly outdoor gear: red plaid with camo trim, tied with a lanyard.

This is a limited release, created during a time when Esterbrook’s footprint was smaller. Today, with global demand growing, quantities are truly limited, and we expect them to move quickly.

What customers say about Estie:

“The Estie is the first pen that made me love writing again.”

“The nib is like butter. I love the feel, the balance, the look—everything.”

“I’ve used mine daily for over a year and it still feels special.”

The Estie Avalanche is more than a pen—it’s a rush of stillness and motion.

Don’t miss the storm!

  • Bottled Fountain Pen Ink

Choose bottled fountain pen ink if you want the widest color selection and a more refillable writing experience. Bottled ink works with compatible fountain pens using a converter, piston filling system, or other bottle-fill mechanism.

  • Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges

Choose ink cartridges if you want a simple, convenient refill option with less setup and easier travel. Cartridges are a good choice for everyday writing, school, work, and anyone who wants a faster refill process.

  • Flushing your fountain pen regularly—

especially when changing ink colors, every six weeks, or before storing the pen—is essential to prevent ink residue buildup, muddy color mixing, and clogged feeds that can lead to scratchy or inconsistent writing.
